A rare week of relative quiet has allowed me to re-align myself with what I hope to get out of this juvenile year at the start of a new decade. I had hoped to execute the fruits of what I have so far learned in the last 18 months but, interestingly, I have become more fixated on learning.
There are a number of projects that I am embarking on this year and, with the help of a slightly more relaxed schedule, this should pave the way for new skills developed in unfamiliar territories. I am tuned to the reality that I often verbally extend far beyond what is necessary in order to convey a message; truth be told, this is something that has always been a struggle for myself as a dedicated motor-mouth. But time to devote myself to quality over quantity, which isn’t an excuse to produce less content, but simply to focus on the finished article more closely. By committing to a smaller volume of tasks, I hope to be able to complete more, rather than languishing in an incomplete new years’ resolution.
There will be many a misstep, as I have discovered today when attempting to kickstart the simplest of tasks, but that’s fine. It needs work and I am prepared to endure a little pain for a little reward.
